Meet individual children’s needs and take their confidence to new levels with small group interventions

Build confidence in small groups with tailored exercises
Whole-class PE lessons, sports games and activities have their place, but some children struggle to excel and enjoy themselves when in big groups. That’s why we offer small group interventions as part of a typical day.
We can take small groups of children aside and deliver confidence-building exercises and activities tailored to their unique strengths.
How does small group coaching benefit children?
Help children feel comfortable and confident
It’s natural for some children to feel intimidated by big groups, so we give them a safe space to relax and enjoy activities
Shy children often feel more comfortable getting stuck in when they’re in a small group, while individual attention from our supportive coaches means they can work on their confidence and discover what activities get them excited about exercise
Meet individual children’s needs
Different children may need a little extra help or support to meet their targets and develop motor skills, while others may need more time to process activity instructions.
By offering a more personal coaching experience, we make sure all children enjoy and actively participate in physical education.
Prepare children for competitions or sports events
If pupils have a sports day, competition or a big inter-school tournament coming up, our small-group intervention sessions are perfect for giving children the extra coaching they need to fine-tune their skills.

Who are small group interventions for?
We can run small group interventions with any group of children, but they’re particularly suited to those who need a bit of extra support. These might be children who lack confidence in their physical abilities, SEND children, and EAL pupils.
We’ll help children overcome confidence issues and develop their self-esteem, meet targets with flying colours, participate in physical activities and channel excess energy into activities perfectly suited to their abilities.
